Everyone has heard of playing with their food, but some people make a profession out of candy art. Chocolate and sugar can be made to do amazing things if you know how to get them to do it. It takes a lot of time and training, but there are chefs who specialize in creating art out of these substances.

Sometimes candy art is made solely for competitions. Chefs can pit their skills against each other and see who can master the candy best. Most of the time though, these sugar sculptures are made for occasions such as weddings and fundraisers.

While these world-class sculptures can’t be made in the average kitchen, there are kits you can buy that you can get to make your own candy art. These kits are especially popular with kids. Who knows, your child could be one of the next great edible art chefs.
