There is a lot of old fashioned candy that you can get for different occasions. If there was a certain type of candy that you enjoyed in your youth, you can search to see if it is still made. Many companies are bringing back some of the more popular candies of past decades.

These candies are also great if you are throwing a themed party such as “the 50’s.” You can find what candies were most popular back then and serve those to your guests. This adds a nice nostalgic touch to the gathering and makes the theme seem more authentic.

One thing to keep in mind is that there are a lot of popular candies that have been around for a long time and have just been perpetually popular since they first came out. Almond Joy bars are one of these, along with 5th Avenue bars, 3 Musketeers, and Dots. One of the most famous candies that has been a favorite from the time it came out is the Hershey bar.
